The frankincense tree is an important flora not only for the culture of Oman but also to the green beauty of the Dhofar governate of Oman. As of matter of fact, this particular tree species is listed under the IUCN Red list of threatened species. For more further details check out:

Within the diverse fauna of Oman, there are four species of Turtle which are common and famous:
Loggerhead (Caretta caretta)
Green (Chelonia mydas)
Hawksbill (Eretmochelys Imbricata)
Olive Ridely (Lipedochelys olivacea)
As all four of these are in the critically endangered or the vulnerable category, the Environment Society of Oman (ESO) has undertaken this project for ensuring the safety of these turtles.
